BODA’S INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY EVENT

International Women’s Day is the day we celebrate all women, take action for equality, and raise awareness against bias and gender stereotypes.

This year’s theme for IWD was Women in Leadership. Being a majority female company, led by our BODA Boss Babe Martha Kourt, we knew we had the perfect opportunity to host an event to showcase some amazing ladies in leadership and business.

Held on March 10th at premium location Le Ciel in Cremorne, BODA was able to bring together a panel of inspiring women to share their stories, their struggles, their advice and their goals, and speak openly and honestly to a group of engaged and passionate guests.

BODA’s CEO Martha was joined by AFLW player and TV presenter Abbey Holmes, Digital Marketing specialist Sophie Cachia, and our host for the day, founder of shedoesthis.com and actress, Jordy Lucas.

We are proud to announce all profits from ticket sales were donated to our charity of choice: Sisterworks Foundation.

Sisterworks, located in Richmond, works to educate and empower migrant, refugee and asylum seeker women. Maria from Sisterworks was able to speak to our guests in more detail about the work they do every day, and a table of their goods was set up and available to purchase on the day, further adding to the total donation.

It was a day that left us all feeling truly motivated to be our best, strongest selves, support the women – and men – in our lives to achieve their dreams, and continue to fight for quality amongst everyone. And we think it’s fair to say it was a big success – bring on next year when we can do it all again!
